Support FFBI

What A Difference Your Donations Make!

We say thanks a lot for everything our supporters do. But as we round out 2017, we thought it was a great time to show you just how much your gifts of time and money impact the burn community.

Your donations can be used to do so much… let’s count some ways you make a difference:

$25 can buy 50 Stamps for the children at Firefighters Kids Camp to Send Postcards Home to Their Families

$50 supplies Classroom Materials for the Youth Firesetter Intervention Program for 15 Children

$200 sponsors Transportation for a young Burn Survivor to attend Firefighters Kids Camp or Little Heroes Preschool Burn Camp, regardless of where they live.

$500 makes it possible for a child to attend the Firefighters Kids Camp for Burn Survivors free of charge to their family

$500 sponsors an adult Burn Survivor to attend the Recovery Retreat

$1,000 helps a Burn Survivor attend the annual World Burn Congress

$2,500 sends a local Burn Unit Nurse to attend the American Burn Association Conference to further their education and improve the level of burn care in Northern California

Shopping Amazon Smile Helps FFBI

Amazon Smile makes it easy to shop great holiday deals from the comfort of your own home. Did you know it can also be a quick’n’easy way to give back as well?

It’s not hard to do, but it does take an extra step to unlock the bonus features. The entire shopping experience is the same and most products available on amazon.com are available at Amazon Smile.

  1. Visit smile.amazon.com This is the hardest part! Using this address instead of the “normal” one makes your purchases eligible.
  2. Sign in as normal. (Don’t worry, you’re still on Amazon.)
  3. Choose Firefighters Burn Institute as your charity of choice. Use the search field to the right of the page to look up “Firefighters Burn Institute” from the list of possible matches. (The screens may look different depending on whether you’re already signed in or not.)
  4. Begin shopping! It’s really that simple!

It really adds up!

Once you’ve selected your charity, everything works the same as always. No extra cost is passed onto you, but Amazon donates 0.5% of your purchase to Firefighters Burn Institute! Want to see how your contribution is put to good use?

Community Connections

Firefighters Burn Institute receives many requests from businesses and organizations that want to hear about what we do and who we are. Some want to educate the community about fire prevention while others have Giving Campaigns that provide their employees an opportunity to donate. We send our staff and board members to these events, but the reality is that we simply don’t have enough people to answer all these requests.

How can you help?

We want to assemble and train a team of trained FFBI AMBASSADORS to represent the Firefighters Burn Institute at area events. As an Ambassador, you will receive one two-hour training session and all the equipment you’ll need. With your newly-acquired knowledge and support, anybody can fill this important role!

If this sounds like something you can get passionate about, we want to hear from you!

Contact Peri Henderson for more information.
